Happy Birthday Garrett!

Happy 19th Birthday Garrett

I can’t believe you’d be preparing for your mission right now! I can’t wait to see you again! I miss those “Sprinkles” on your nose and you jumping in bed with me when you get scared (although at 19 you probably wouldn’t be doing that anymore!). I'll never forget when you thought the Pioneer Day Celebrations were for you for your birthday!

Happy Birthday, Baby Brother! I miss you everyday.

Our Legacy

We were asked this question in church today:

"How do you want to be remembered in 150 years?"

Then I got this text:

“I want to be remembered as the original gangsta!!”

-Jared Bardsley

Oh Brother…. Literally!

I Could Die Happy!

This could go down as one of the greatest days of my life!! Just because this happened:

KYLE BECKERMAN!!!! Seriously he is one of the nicest people I have ever met! And of course I was totally in heaven! My parents, Jared, and I had a great night meeting some of the players and got a ton of autographs. Will Johnson was another great guy that was so nice and so appreciative of his fans:

I’m so proud to be a Real Salt Lake fan and support such amazing, nice guys that RSL has on their team! They really are amazing! Another fun thing that happened tonight was my dad was honored before the game for the “RSL Hero Among Us!” My dad and I were able to go onto the sidelines and watch the team warm up, we chatted with Leo, and my dad was honored with a jersey with “Bardsley” on the back in the middle of the field! It was a great experience and a great honor! I’m so proud of my pops!

My friends were also able to come to the game and it was fun having them there!

I Need To Remember This...

Sometimes when I want something RIGHT NOW,
it isn't the best for me RIGHT NOW.
I need to remember this in my life.
Especially RIGHT NOW.

And So It Ends...

Of course we went to the HP 7.2 Movie at Midnight!
And of course we had to take a pic by the giant stand-up cardboard thingy!!
That's how we roll!
And yes it was worth the loss of sleep!
Goodbye Harry Potter Phenomenon,
Your legacy will live on!

Hey everyone! My dad was selected as a Community MVP for Major League Soccer to represent Real Salt Lake for the work he has done with The Garrett Bardsley Foundation. He won a trip to New York to go to the Allstar game at the end of the month and I'm so proud of him. Out of the 18 MVP's selected, one will get $10,000 for the charity of their choice. Happy 4th of July

We spent the day at a BBQ at my cousins and then an awesome Real Salt Lake Game!  Two of my favorite things!!  It was a special game because the Head Coach, Jason Kreis, was honored after the game and his number was retired at Rio Tinto.  This is the first jersey retired in MLS history.  It was pretty neat!!  But let’s be honest, I think anything to do with RSL is pretty neat!  Hope you all had a great holiday filled with family and friends.  A special thanks, to the amazing people who have fought for the freedom of our country.
Danica & I enjoying the game!

Mini-Vegas

If you haven’t experienced Provo, Utah on the Evening of July 3rd, put it on your list of things to do!  It is CRAZY!!  I first experienced this oddity two years ago and I still can’t believe it!  Everyone and their dog camps out on the parade route on University Avenue for the parade the next morning.  Notice I didn’t say: “everyone sleeps out on the parade route” because nobody sleeps!  The age range of the people out there varies so much and there is so many different things going on: card games, video games, dance parties, shops open til late, people flooding in and out of 7-11, cops driving up and down the street regulating, fireworks going off, groups of bikers going up and down the street, etc.  It is seriously a crazy thing to experience!  A couple of my friends and I decided to take a walk down the street and just go people watch!  It was definitely an experience.  I saw several teenagers from my homeward and friends of my brothers!  So many different people!  After our walk we shot off some awesome fireworks (I love the new firework law in Utah!!) and decided we had enough of the “Mini-Vegas”.  Unfortunately I live right on University Avenue so the noise was kind of loud all night, but it sounded like everyone was having fun!

Who Knew I Would Enjoy Wimbledon!

So for this first time in my life I watched some of the Wimbledon tennis matches and I learned two things about myself:

1) Watching the matches was actually pretty entertaining and I could get used to watching tennis! I need to watch it more so I understand all the technicalities of the sport.

2) I have a thing for the beautiful male Tennis players from Spain (see Exhibit A & B):

Exhibit A: Feliciano Lopez Exhibit B: Rafael Nadal

I need to go to Spain!!
(What is my thing with male athletes with longer hair? I love it!)

Just a couple more pics for your viewing pleasure!
